BuffBake: Spreading more than just nut butter.
BuffBake was killing it with nut butter and protein cookies, but their product line was limited and social media wasn’t fully driving business goals. They needed help scaling their offerings (hello, single-serve pouches!), launching new products, and making social media work harder to support sales.

Spreading the Love (and Expanding the Line)
BuffBake was rocking nut butters in more than 7 different flavors, but their product line was limited and social media wasn’t fully supporting business goals. They needed to expand, launch new products, and make social content work harder—all while keeping their playful brand voice.
BuffBake had the recipes, the taste, and the loyal snack fans, but growth was starting to hit some classic “small brand” challenges. Their nut butter jars were great for at-home use, but what about single-serve options for busy, on-the-go customers? Protein cookies can be delicious, but when faced a new product in a crowded healthy snack market, the packaging and branding would have to stand out in a sea of options.
On top of that, social media wasn’t just about the product looking pretty—it needed to reflect business priorities: driving sales, promoting new products, and reinforcing brand awareness in a way that actually appeals to both the business but also on their customers. The brand had potential, but the extensive design needs were keeping it from reaching its next level. BuffBake needed a design partner who could think beyond aesthetics to scale the business and translate delicious snacks into visual and social success.

Rolling Up Our Sleeves (and Our Sleeves of PB)
From ideation to execution, we mapped out packaging refreshes and created new versions of products with their own unique flair.
Brand & Packaging Audit: Evaluated current jars, pouches and cookie packs in the market—to understand what worked and what didn’t visually and strategically.
Format Experimentation: Designed packaging for new single-serve pouches that maintained the brand personality and communicated portability and nutrition—int a new treatment for their products.
New Product Development: Crafted packaging concepts for the new protein cookie line, ensuring flavor and protein content were front-and-center.
Social Strategy: Developed periodic social posts aligned with product releases, and audience engagement objectives—that would speak to customers depending on where they were served the post.

Shelf Appeal Meets Social Success
Expanding the line and leveling up social media gave BuffBake more reach, engagement, and sales, while keeping the brand fun and approachable.
🥄 Expanded reach: Single-serve pouches & opened doors to convenience-driven channels.
🍪 Cookie launch win: Eye-catching packaging boosted trial and repeat purchases.
📊 Social posts that support business: Periodic content increased engagement and drove awareness for new launches.
🛒 Shelf & scroll appeal: Products and posts alike excited customers, both in stores and on feeds.
BuffBake went from “great snacks, limited reach” to a fully scaled, design-backed brand ready to win in the aisle and on the feed—while keeping every bite as fun as the first.
