Website Redesign

Cristo Rey Columbus High School

The Problem.

The original Cristo Rey Columbus website was incredibly dated—not having been refreshed since about 2005. The entire website needed to be rethought, including the platform being used and had to allow parents of students—and teachers—to easily access information about the school and operations at all times.

This effort also included key recommendations for how to provide an easier way to import events from multiple calendars, getting custom calendars from those collections into individual pages & enhancing the user experience through tailored landing page solutions.

Anything is possible.

My Role.

While working with CRC, I was able to build out the key experiences of the new website from scratch, along with defining how they would lead the users through different journeys. This included wireframes, a content audit, a usability audit & building out a thorough component library that would aid in the building of the rest of the website. In addition to wireframes & mockups, I also was part of a joint effort with content strategists & web developers in building the entire website.

By selecting Wordpress as the base, it allowed for the solution become fully scalable with longer term growth potential for the organization. The platform was then topped with a full customizable page builder called Divi. This allowed to build custom experiences with full control, but could ultimately be paired with custom web development efforts.

This allows the client to later make modifications on their own later and empower them to have some control over their web presence. In addition, a resource & component library was built to give them ease of adding new pages or content at their discretion.
